Untie The String Natural Healing Therapies

Home » About Christine

I am a holistic therapist working with energy healing, physical therapies and self-actualisation techniques to help adults and children experience relaxation and healing from within. In 2011, I founded Untie The String Natural Healing: a space for building and maintaining physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness; a space to loosen the knots, and heal from within.

I love treating adults and children with Reiki and Bowen. Clients come to me for help with all kinds of things; stress, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, insomnia, negative habits, grief and transition and physical problems like joint pain, back pain and dental pain and headaches. I have also supported the terminally ill and patients going through radiology and chemotherapy. I have a personal interest in helping children with anxiety issues, sensory processing disorder, autistic spectrum disorder and dyslexia. I have also treated a lot of older clients, many of whom suffer with arthritis. For anyone who finds it difficult to travel to me, I just drive over to them to give them a home treatment.

Because I lived all over the world for 20 years, I became a sort of cultural chameleon; I have an understanding of all kinds of different cultures and a little bit of knowledge of a lot of languages. I have lived in the Netherlands, Germany, Senegal, Japan, Vietnam, Egypt, Brunei, Kenya, Poland, China, Bangladesh and Bulgaria. Before I became a complementary therapist, I was a language teacher with the British Council. Along the way I learnt a lot about the challenges of transition and sought out techniques for self-care and wellness, such as T’ai chi, Chakra Healing, Crystal Healing, EFT, Satyananda Yoga, Positive Affirmations, Mindfulness and Meditation Practices. Bulgaria was a treasure trove for crystals, and I gathered a large collection of stones there to support healing in the future.

I work intuitively and with intent. Using affirmations is a big part of what I do. Louise Hay and Joe Dispenza are my major influences. I enjoy being part of a community of people who believe in being the change they wish to see and I support all who are committed to positive change from within. Healing is a way of life for me. I help people explore and release whatever is holding them back from the health and happiness which lies within. I also offer support to students and clients though a Reiki Distant Healing Group and I set up the What Knot Club to offer Reiki shares, grounding in Nature, treatment exchanges and social events.
